Having nothing better to do yesterday, I found myself checking out the video for Shakira’s new single “She Wolf”. I’m only aware of it because I watch French television on my laptop and it seems as though French people are the only ones left to have any sort of interest in Shakira anymore, aside from Colombians (I hope).
Shakira, you used to be some sort of South American pop icon, with your very own and unique style. So what happened to you? From afar you look like Beyonce, from behind you look like Britney, when you throw your leg around you look like Madonna, you look skinny and muscly, your hair could be featured in a L’Oreal advert and you sing over disco music. What happened to this?
